This E.P. is dedicated to the memory of my dearly beloved wife Justine Cullen, who passed away January 29th 2026.
Gone but never forgotten, Justine was the queen of raving and also the queen of boots.
Her collection of boots was very special to her (and me) and so was techno music so it’s only fitting to dedicate this release to her.
The picture on the sleeve is of Justine, playing around on some motorbike sculptures we found at Boomtown festival 2025 outside the Acid Leak area.

———-

Forged from the techno fires of the underworld, the Rave Boots E.P. brings together raving …and boots.
You cannot have one without the other, the boots of rave, or the rave of boots, it doesn’t matter which way round you look at it, boots and raving are born together and will live together forever.
The instruments used in these tracks by the artist known as D.A.V.E. are no different to the instruments used in all other techno tracks. It doesn’t take a genius to make a kick go boom boom boom, but it does sound great when you are off your t*ts on a Saturday night. Huzzah!

The legendary SLAM from Glasgow pretty much kick started the UK techno scene with their classic “Positive Education” on their own SOMA imprint. Slam were also responsible for releasing the first Daft Punk 12” to an unsuspecting world. Thomas Bangalter slept on their sofa in the early days, it doesn’t get much more legendary than that. We are absolutely over the moon that we managed to convince them to come and play for us.
