Apex is back on the block!

With a stomping release by Russia’s favorite DJ / Producer Andrei Abramov better known as: Android.

This Release has had fantastic feedback from our community of promo DJ’s and it marks the beginning of a new era for Apex recordings.

Apex started life as a second label for Dave The Drummer in the early 2000’s and the idea was to put out funkier, deeper techno than on Hydraulix.

That idea still holds true, Apex will be concentrating on deeper techno grooves with a bit of tech-house in there for good measure.

Androids tracks are tough and pounding, but also accessible and very playable,

Support so far comes from: Darkmode, Diarmead O Meara, Mark EG, Mark Sherry and has been downloaded for R Hawtin, whatever that means!

Enjoy.

The legendary SLAM from Glasgow pretty much kick started the UK techno scene with their classic “Positive Education” on their own SOMA imprint. Slam were also responsible for releasing the first Daft Punk 12” to an unsuspecting world. Thomas Bangalter slept on their sofa in the early days, it doesn’t get much more legendary than that. We are absolutely over the moon that we managed to convince them to come and play for us.
