Booty Slave & D.A.V.E. the Drummer - Asylum

The Booty Slave and The Drummer team up once again for two tracks of craziness.
Hard hitting industrial techno beats with “Asylum” and more subliminal analog tweaks with “Drum Computer”.

The duo of Julian Sandell & Henry Cullen goes back a long way.

Both artists come from the London Underground techno scene, Julian as part of the Liberator DJs and Henry as producer D.A.V.E. the Drummer.
They started making records together in 1995 for infamous acid techno label Stay Up Forever Records. Later Julian started to diversify and started his own now legendary record Label 4X4 which still receives plays from top DJs around the world to this day, most notably Nina Kraviz playing 4X4X1 during her closing set at Awakenings in 2017.

Julian’s knowledge and love of the weirder side of electronic music coupled with Henry’s studio skills and production is still a winning combo and these new tracks will cut it with harder dance floors as well as the deeper techno clubs.

The legendary SLAM from Glasgow pretty much kick started the UK techno scene with their classic “Positive Education” on their own SOMA imprint. Slam were also responsible for releasing the first Daft Punk 12” to an unsuspecting world. Thomas Bangalter slept on their sofa in the early days, it doesn’t get much more legendary than that. We are absolutely over the moon that we managed to convince them to come and play for us.
